Coming to you live from Tallahassee! This last week has been a lot of fun. Lets see, the last time I posted, I was leaving North Carolina/Virginia for Tennessee, so I guess I'll pick up there.

Tennessee Trip- The trip over was beautiful, as trips through the mountains most often are. I left home early and my first stop was in Greensboro to have breakfast with my dad and a little diner. Then I was off on my adventure. It rained until I got about 30 miles from the mountains, then the skies opened up and the sun came through. It was great from then on. When I got to Cleaveland, I was quite tired of driving and my friends from Temple Baptist Youth were off in some swimming hole about a half an hour away, so I took the time to find a spot under a tree and read. It was a great time to relax and enjoy the environment (camp-like bunk houses, big towering trees, mountain views off in the distance). Finally TBY got there and it was awesome to see everyone. We went to dinner, and I got to "catch up" with every one. It was awesome to talk to Brother Doug and Anna about what God had been doing in the youth. They always give me good perspective. Later we had group devotions and shared what God was doing in our lives. Then we chilled the rest of the night. The next morning we went to a little pond to swim but it was quite chilly. Later was lunch, the the RIVER! It was great fun! We were in boats of 6 (plus river guide). Hayley, Shana, Brittany, Mark, Makayla, and I all in one boat. NONE of us had rafted before. Hayley and I took seats next to each other and vowed not to fall out. So we were instructed how to "get out alive". The rapids were ranked 2s, 3s, and 4s. The ride was great. We got stuck for a few seconds in one rapid and did this thing called "surfing" on the rapids. That was probably the most excitement of the trip. I have to say without the 4s, the ride would have been quite unexciting. It was a great river for a first-timer like me! The only thing I regret is not having a camra fit for a wet rafting trip. Incredible scenery!

And file them with the memories that I can't seem to shake" ~Tara Leigh Cobble
