The Cattle and a Thousand Hills
Living in NC has been a change for me this past year and a half, especially since I moved to the lake b/c we are out in the BOOOONIES (we cant even get cable, cell phone reception, or voicemail! LOL!) It was a major adjustment not to have everything right at your fingertips, and I don't think that I would have willingly chose it if the Lord had not put that in my heart. I can remember time of thinking, 'I'll never go back there where there is NOTHING!' My point? This evening I was driving back from Roxboro on a totally remote backwoods road, and I was noticing all the fields, rolling hills, and the cows dispersed throughout, and just admiring the beauty of it all. The sun was setting, and though I wasn't playing and bluegrass music, I could hear it in my head. It was awesome! Don't get me wrong, there is still that 'city girl' inside of me, but today I just was lovin' driving 70 mph on the open back roads admiring the fields, sunset, and even the cows! :)

Love Song For A Savior
In open fields of wild flowers
She breathes the air flies away
She thanks her Jesus for the daisies and the roses
In no simple language
Someday she'll understand the meaning of it all

No Safe Investments
I read the following quote on Sandra's Site today...

There is no safe investment.
To love at all is to be vulnerable.
Love anything and your heart will certainly
be wrung and possibly be broken.
If you want to make sure of keeping it intact ,
you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal.
Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and
little luxuries; avoid all entanglements;
Lock it up safe in a casket or coffin of your selfishness.
But in that casket, safe, motionless, airless it will change.
It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable,
impenetrable irredeemable.

Lord You Have My Heart

Lord You Have My Heart
As I was driving back from church today (which was a refreshing/renewing time of recognizing the greatness and mercy of God in the privledge that we have to corporate worship and the ways that we can push each other to worship God more) I was listening to a worship CD that my friend Gina gave me last year for Valentine's Day... It had a conglomeration of worship artists, but one song that I have loved and forgotten about really ministered to my heart and became a renewed prayer today.

Lord You Have My Heart
Written by Martin Smith ©1994 Curious? Music UK

Lord you have my heart
And I will search for yours
Jesus take my life and lead me on.

Lord you have my heart
And I will search for yours
Let me be to you a sacrifice.

And I will praise you Lord
And I will sing of love come down
And as you show your face
We'll see your glory here.
