Outta Here
Outta here (school that is). It's been a CRAZY Homecoming week and TODAY we had an AWESOME pep rally, but now I'm tired and I have to be back here in the morning to decorate for the big game tomorrow night! Hope everyone has a BLESSED weekend!
Grace and Peace!

Pics from the Week!
Just a few Spirit Week photos. :)

None Compare!
Last night in True Life we were singing,

Holy Is The Lord
By Chris Tomlin

Holy is the Lord God Almighty
The earth is filled with His glory
Holy is the Lord God Almighty
The earth is filled with His glory
The earth is filled with His glory

It's rising up all around
It's the anthem of the Lord's renown

The Lord brought to my mind the a verse that we have been studying in Bible 9.

I Samuel 2:2
There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside Thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

Then this morning on the way to school I was listening to the Pat Brown Band cd (former memebers include Shane Barnard and Shane Everett). This song came on and again reminded me that no one can compare to God and His holiness!

None Compare
By Pat Brown

For the glory of Your name
Let the earth rejoice in Your fame and Your holiness
Who is like You?
None compare You're the fairest of thousands

The skies will sing of Your works
The clouds will let go and shower the earth with Your praise
The heavens declare the truth, glory and grace of the Lord

Psalm 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

So I started thinking about MY response to this Holiness of God. I Samuel 2 goes on to say in verse 3:

Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: For the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed!

Wow! If that is not a call to live HOLY lives, I dont know what is. My actions are weighed by God's holy scale!

Howdy!
Ok, its Hilbilly/Western day today and since i couldnt find my overalls this morning, I dressed up like a cowgirl! :) I have a great hat on right now! LOL! I was gonna bring my guitar, but it was too cold to carry it this morning! Fun stuff!

The Chase
A few months back I read Pursuit of Holiness by Jerry Bridges (and have mentioned it several times here). It had a great impact on my life, and was, by far, one of the best books I read last year!!! Well in 2003, Jerry Bridges, with the help of Jay and Jen Howver put out a teen version of the book called The Chase. I got it yesterday and started reading it in morning devotions with my 7th graders. I'm very excited about it! Anyway, if you know a teenager (or you are one) and want to read something awesome and life altering.... Pick up God's Word b/c nothing is better than that! Also, go to your local Christian bookstore and buy The Chase or Pursuit of Holiness. It is a great book to go through on your own or with a friend!!! Full of Scriptural Truths!

The Passion of Christ
This movie by Mel Gibson comes out February 25!!! I've heard really good reviews of it thus far, and am excited to see it. Got an email today that had a link for the trailer in it. Thought I would share it with you guys.... Click HERE to watch

Shane and Shane
Got an email from Third Coast Artist that had the newest concert dates. The Shanes are coming our way in April! Click HERE for a list of dates and locations.

Encouragement
This morning Pastor Barber encouraged us in teacher devotions with the following scripture: A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: Prov. 17:22
Inspite of whatever circumstances, we can CHOOSE JOY!

Randomness
Ok so this was a few scattered thoughts from my day. :) Hope YOU have a Great one! Thanks for reading!

Limbo
You know lately I have been in this place that I cannot exactly explain. I guess, to the best of my ability, with my limited vocabulary, I call it a place of limbo. I don't know if it's God calling me to other things, or the enemy tempting me to be discontent. Either way, I just want to hear the voice of the Lord and do His will. I want to make an impact by His grace and For His Name, where ever He has me. Anyway, I guess I'm writing this mostly to ask for you guys to pray that I would hear God and obey.

Wash Me In The Water
by Shane Barnard
Wash me in the water of the Word
I lay me on the alter of Your will
Present me blameless
Without blemish,
Holy Bride,
White
Lord, purify Your Bride

Bringin' Back the 50's
Ok, so the 50's was my decade of choice, though I really think I would have been more of a 70's girl if I had my pick. They had cool clothes back then. Oh, and very cool hair. Well, now that I think of it, it would be a toss-up between being a 70's girl or a medieval chick. Both time periods had great hair (not talking about the fro's of the 70's though. Don't know if I can call those COOL.) Anyway, there were some scary 'get-ups' at WCA today. I had this dejavo of my senior banquet (poof, sequence, too much hair, etc...) The eighties had to be one of the biggest "Fashion Emergencies" ever! I took some pics.... I'll try to post them.

Question
Sooo... If you could live in any decade/time period, what would it be and why?

Side Note
I'm not a big TV advocate or anything, but did anyone watch the American Idol Atlanta try-outs last night? The girl on there that sang All By Myself went to WCA last year! :)

Homecoming
This week is Homecoming at WCA!!! I always loved things like this. Each day we get to dress up in some kind of theme clothing. Today was 'Comfy' day. I came to school in jeans, FSU hoodie, tennis shoes, and pig tails. I could get used to it. Though, I have to say that the kids were a bit rowdy, so it was hard to get anything done. :) So tomorrow is 'Decade' day (i havent a clue what to wear for that, yet) and then 'Hillbilly' day (just wish I had a banjo to bring!) and then of course the traditional 'School Spirit' day on Friday, and the big game on Saturday!!! Fun stuff!

K, its late, I'm sore from yesterday, and quite tired. Jettin' outta here! Grace and Peace!
